Virtual PC-6 for flight simmers

The PC-6 is a wonderful airplane that caught my attention long time ago for its STOL capabilities.

I am working on a scratch built model of the PC-6, the featured article "A Little PC-6" could help me find the Canadian plan supplier.

I used to have a set of plans for an RC PC6. Never got around to building it tho. If you're interested, I can keep an eye out for them when i clean out my study and fling them your way.

And besides something supersonic, the pc6 is the one aircraft I would love to fly, especially in PNG.

I would be very grateful to you, this will shorten the construction time. By the way I am working on building a model from corrugated plastic sheets, the advantage is that it could be done using 3D drawing.

I hope I still have them - they came from a RC aircraft mag probably in the late 90's

But in the absence of any from me - and you may have done it already - but google pilatus PC-6 model plans and then select images and then subselect searchtools>size> large.

There are a few plans there in the 2000+ pixel size which should blow up ok.

We chartered one from the then Mount Cook Line to fly us into the top of Franz Joseph Glacier to go mountaineering in '95. My first time in an aircraft landing on skis. A real eye opener was the three touch and goes testing the surface for crevasses before the final landing. Got me so hooked ten years later I found myself flying ski aircraft for a living.

I spent many hours in these. So versatile. WE had long and short range versions, so if a pilot needed the extended range we would often drop the wings off one a/c and actually walk the old ones off and the new ones on. Several nuts bolts and pins and about ten guys ....the changeover could be done while the pilot waited. We would sometimes fly them across the Nullabor and sometimes meet the Indian Pacific.....which could be going faster than us....I think our squadron held a record for the longest single engine a/c flight flying across Australia, high, on oxygen. Never ceased to amaze me in their ability and some pilots could extract the most awesome performance from them. I think I knew every rivet, nut, bolt and washer in those things.
