Need help please.

I know you can buy o rings & disc to repair the valve block, but where do you buy the small rubber plunger in the exhaust valve. No one seems to sell them, and may be the reason why my compressor is still running a little erratic.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Andy,

Paul (ex hardrange) has/had a few complete rebuild kits available which include the diaphragm, but I have no idea where you could buy it alone.

are you looking for the black (pencil eraser type) ends for the 2 top valves at the front of the unit? if so i might have some second hand or make some from nitrile.

Could you post some pics of how you make these. I am looking to re-do my valve block soon as things are starting to sag again after a couple of days idle

Ditto, for me too Wayne, i've got 2 rebuild kits from Paul, one for my spare valve block and one for the installed unit. I'll do the first rebuild on the spare unit just to make sure I know what I'm doing. If the exhaust valves are replaceable I might as well do them at the same time.

goodonya Rupert! You could have a nice little cottage industry going there as I have searched high and low for these in the past.

So, you are making the larger exposed rubber bit for the Exhaust and Inlet solenoids plungers? Are you also intending to make up the recessed rubbers that go in the Air Spring and Diaphragm Valve plungers?

If so, please put me down for a couple of sets.

Cheers, Paul.

One of my solenoid covers, I think it was the exhaust, had a very thin o-ring around the base, but none of the others had it.

It looked OK, but I was wondering if it ever caused problems?

Only the Diaphragm Valve Solenoid has a seal on the cap cover. Make sure the cap is screwed down firmly with some o-ring lube on the seal to help keep it sealed.
Cheers, Paul.

Rupert

Can you make an extra 2 sets please. I have 2 x valve blocks to rebuild in the near future. I might as well replace the exhaust valves whilst they are being done. If you could pm me your bank details I'll arrange payment for you.

Hi Rupert,

If it's not too late, I would like a set as well.

Thanks
