Fuel pump inspection panel

About to fit one of Mulgo's inspection panels into my 110 wagon and wondering about the pump position.
Does anybody know if the Long Range Automotive 140L tank still has the pump in the same position as the factory tank?

Don't really want to make a hole only to discover it is in a different place:(.

And pretty difficult to do by measuring in situ but I will if I have to or at least try.

Near enough.. it has to be so that the fuel lines aren't stressed.

You should be able to see daylight between the tank & the floor. You should be able to eyeball the lines. The pump itself is recessed, so that it sits on the tank bottom properly. But the lines should be enough to guesstimate the spot.

I don't know anything about the Mulgo item though, , mine was cut from a template floating around the Sydney LandRover Club (Thanks Fred!).

No it is a bit foward on my td5 and it is near a cross member under the floor.
Be careful I did mine but very hard to measure. Have sold mine now so sorry can't give you the measurements.

Thanks for the replies,
The hole is 200mm x 200mm so if I set it out as per instructions and then drill a hole in the middle of the of the bit to be cut out I should be able to see if I have to make any adjustments and hopefully not more than 100mm.

I did this a few months ago and yes it matches the original set up.I drilled a small hole and dropped a screwdriver through which I then viewed from the left hand wheel arch.Then cut a larger hole out with the jig saw,had to partially cut out two crossmembers.200mm will be plenty mine was about 150mm.The LRA tank has a small weep some where around the cut out where it goes around the right hand chassis crossmember,so I will have to drop the tank anyway.

Thanks Eddy, good to know I will be pretty close then.
Instruction say to lower the tank but I think I can slide a piece of ply in between the floor and the top of the tank, that should be enough to not damage it.
