Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a vibration/resonance between approx. 1300 - 1700 rpm.
Happens in any gear or speed but generally under light or no loads and you can feel it through the steering and the seat.

Have had it back to the dealer 4 times:
1/ heard it but no time to investigate
2/ can't find it
3/ found it & fixed it [obviously unsuccessfully]
4/ and finally "it's a common thing with Freelander 2 diesels"

It's really taking the edge of an otherwise great car.

Thanks

Yes, I have a TD4 and at some changes it is felt, goes away with a little exceleration, I just put it down to not keeping up the revs. I feel there is a lot of niggles that are Land Rover esentric, as it is my first experience with Land Rover I don't know what is a concern and what is not.

Cheers

I noticed this with my MY13 TD4 as well. I just put it down to a combination of diesel, auto and revs. I was waiting for the first service to see if it was going to be a problem.

Happens to my MY13 SD4 as well..so now I drive in Sports mode and it has since disappeared.. Not too bothered.. Sometimes it feels like the gears were too high for the chosen rev, like driving on 5th gear when rev is low in a manual, causing the vibration.

Thanks Folks,
I thought the same too, OZNUT, that it was the engine labouring but it happens in the lower gears too when driven manually.
Spoke to Land Rover Customer Service today and they confirmed that it's a common issue (feature?) with Freelander 2s.
Maybe if enough people complain LR might do something about it but it doesn't sound like it's a very high priority.
