Lots of "speculation" on the subject of what "may" be a "New" Defender, but really, I don't think anyone really knows anything with respect to when there will be a "New Generation" ...if ever?
Cheers, Pickles.

We have some clues.
The RRS and D3/D4 shared a platform, but the new RRS shares the big daddy RR's platform.
Meaning the replacement D3/D4 platform will need to be shared with another model to keep development costs down.

This suggests new defender and new disco will again be sharing a chassis/floorpan.

As for the "seperate chassis" bit. If they can fit a deck to a falcodore ute, then they can also fit one to a disco. No matter whether the disco has a full chassis or not.

I suspect landrover are laughing at all these articles from behind the steering wheels of their test mules.

So, bearing what you've said in mind, d'you think it will look much the same (trad/utilitarian) and when would you think it would happen?
Cheers, Pickles.

I'm just speculating like everyone else. But thinking along the lines of a D3 with a more mud friendly interior. They'll try to style whatever it is to look like a defender.

There was a kick-arse photo mock up of a twin cab "disco' ute doing the rounds - looked great I reckon !
