The answer, is dependant upon the fault.
If it is a different fault each time, and they are fixing it, then I would say, you probably don't have much chance.
If it is the SAME fault, and they are unable to repair it, they should offer you a replacement unit. And saying they are unable to repair, means that the same faulty component has to fail a number of times.
Best you could probably hope for, is a new TV... but, they will possibly try & stretch it out past the warranty period.

I believe it is 3 times and they should replace with another one the same. Not sure they are required to refund

I guess that HERE (http://www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au/consumer-rights-responsibilities.htm) you will find the best answer.

We bought a Panasonic DVR and have had the same intermittent fault on recording since new. The retailer proudly announced "Panasonic have a 3 times and you get a new one policy" but the repairer always said they couldn't find the fault so it must be my arial!
Had that checked and all good but no way would they approach the manu for a replacement.
We live with it now but most retailers seem to be avoiding any warranty replacements from what we've heard.
And the ****s that built our caravan refuse to admit it's a heap of crap and refuse all claims but the courts will soon sort them out!:D
