I still havent yet made a really good ginger beer, one that really tastes the best.
In the "system" at the moment is a keg of Coopers Real ale, with 1kg fresh chopped and boiled ginger, plus a 50gm jar of dried ginger powder, and cascade hops.Once the keg makes it to the tap I will let you know how it tastes.
Plan on putting another gingered beer down next weekend.Have a 225gm jar of dried ginger powder and hops.Im tempted to throw the whole 225gms in:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::tw isted::twisted::twisted:

If you are into beer related T Shirts, check out their range.I recently bought some.Pommie 2XL are more like our 3XL,unfortunately only one style in 2XL.Got a couple of medium size for the mrs.The shirts are of excellent quality.
Their beer is good too.Have been reccomended Hobgoblin, but yet to find it in stock(Dan Murphy carry them) Thier Wychcraft,a double hopped blonde is really good.

Mixed results.
Opened a keg yesterday that is a combination of fresh ginger and powdered ginger. Its un-drinkable,didtinct vinegear taste:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
Just opened a second keg, this one had 225gms of powdered ginger and Coopers Real Ale.Despite only being on the gas for 24 hours(still quite flat) it is showing promise:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: By time it gasses up it should be quite a nice drop.

At first i thought dont you mean ginger beer but then reading on and see you mean ginger flavoured beer. We used to make ginger beer off a recipe from a 50yo Tassie country Womens Association recipe book and used 2ltr easy goer coke bottles, i remember opening one outside and it took off like a jet .
Wasnt meant to be alcholic but sure was yeasty, tasted great.
Interested in how your gingered beer comes out.

Daughter just returned from the USA with a sixpack of lambic fruit flavoured beers - peach, blackberry and black current. Maybe similar to the fruit and gingered beers mentioned in that website.
Only tried the peach beer yet. Looks like Cooper's beers (a bit cloudy) when your pour into a glass but has a cider smell to it with a peachy flavour.
Bottles are corked like wine bottles. Something different.
