GLOVE BOX WON"T OPEN

Has anybody got away to open the glove box without having to break it the key push latch will not open it ,just happen today so don't have access to the glove box + fuse box.

Assuming that this is the earlier type dash, from memory you should be able to access the mechanism behind the button by removing the top of the dashboard. To do this you will have to remove both sides with the air vents in them and remove all screws from the top of the dash including those under the centre speaker grille.

I will have a look (2003 model) if that helps..?? perhaps if you know the latches location you could use some feeler guages and slip them in to release the latch toggles on the actual glove box rather than pulling the dash apart... could be something stuck in it ..... Just a thought

Lads thanks for the replies,I did take the dashboard off but still no access, but I have fixed it , just in case it happens to you I got a pliers and screw driver and put the pliers in the comer of the glove box to open the lid a bit and moved along till I gave it a wedge at the lock and it did release,then I took out the glove box light and took the 2 screws holding the latch in the glove box out, then I took it out the latch out of the light hole and found the cable had come out of the holder, fitted it back together and all works good know.
