Removing/unclipping plastic side panels in cargo area.

If I ever need to pop the interior side panel on the jack cupboard side to get to a fuse on from my power supply to the cargo area,, is there a knack? It all looks very plastic; rip it out once and its out forever.

No real trick to it, it's all either those metal "v" clips, or the two part white and yellow plastic clips. The trick is to be gentle but firm at the same time.

The only ones that I found fragile, were the fixings near the rear passenger doors (I broke one of them at that point). This is assuming that there is little design change between D3 and D4.

In the D4, the lower panel from the floor of the boot to below where the plastic juts out, which in some is of a different colour to the main panel, is heat welded, so if popped out, will have to be glued back again. Tricky business, as there is a thin strip of plastic around the jack compartment which this panel attaches to, and that tends to flex; as this panel is not secured on the bottom edge, it will tend to then come out (speaking from experience).

Okay, thanks, it'll be a glue job. I can picture exactly what you're saying and it matches my investigations. I just have to hope I don't blow that fuse.

Removed the panels on mine and replaced with flat panels of MDF painted black.
Gives more space behind for inverter.
