When did they seal the road?

I'm sure it was a dirt road on all the previous video clips I have seen.

The road u p to pikes peak was a few kays of tar, then turned to dirt, mud, ice, snow as the climb went on.

The fastest time is 9.46 by some Rhys Millen in a Hyundai

it seems that the entire road is now tar :mad: seems some one lobbied the powers that be and forced them via legal action to have it fully sealed to the sumit. I do believe that it WAS NOT anyone from the racing community.

Just saw it. What an awesome machine. That supercharged V8 sounds a treat. Great to see yet another milestone from Land Rover.

Was tarred for 2012. This year Millen beat his past record by 44 seconds, but still lost to Sebastian Loeb in the Peugeot 208 by 49 seconds.

Millen did well,, used that engine all year in his drift car and then used it to beat his old time by heaps
