Hi there, I am driving around with an annoying Glovebox rattle that I thought at some stage I would investigate. I have searched here and haven't been able to find anything.
I noticed on my online survey that was just sent out recently, it asked about rattles - one of the options was coming from the Glovebox. So I wonder if this is common?
When driving - if the lower compartment is closed, it rattles\creeks. If it is opened it stops.
Anyone got any experience with this one? D4 MY12.
Thanks in advance.

Take it to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty.

Had a anoying rattle / squeak on my first D4, dealer took the door trim, pillar trim, speaker grille / speakers, couldn't find the the painful noise, anyway had a friend in the passenger seat one day on the way home from work( it only done it on certain roads on the way home or randomly on other roads ) I would swear black and blue it was from the left speaker grille, along a road where it appeared regularly he reached out and put his finger on the top chrome glovebox lock/lever and it stopped, it was just vibrating away on certain roads ever so slightly,
The dealer had to replace the whole glovebox under warranty as the part was only available as assembly, it took us over six months of searching to find it, couldn't believe it took that long but you would swear it was coming from somewhere near the door.

Thanks for that info Jack. That is precisely why I haven't taken it to a dealer yet to pull everything apart and still not find the problem. :) With the help of a passenger (my son) we are narrowing it down to the glovebox but still can't locate it. I'll check the handles but mine is a constant noise.
