I have just purchased this past weekend an HSE 2.7td Disco3, mind you this is after 6 months of trying to find the right one at the right price.
I have seen multiple 40-50k D3's, and a few S and SE's around 30k.
And a white one on the VIC/NSW border that I tried to get information from the dealership for literally 2 months and nothing was sent through even after me chasing them constantly.
She is Silver, in HSE trim, diesel 2.7, MY07 with no sat nav unfortunately, but I guess worth the sacrifice for the price difference. Paint is almost perfect and the interior is also brilliant.
Has over 170kms on the clock, was a one owner with excellent service history and everything that needed to be changed has been.
Thanks to all you wonderful forum posters for the excellent information, and the the forum members who helped me out with pre purchase questions.
I had the car indepentantly checked by a really top bloke, he works down the sutho area and knows Landies inside and out, had some really great pointers for me too.
Mechanic2You - Peter is his name, and he spent a few hours looking over the car for me with every tiny detail listed and only wanted $150 for his time and advice. And peace of mind!
Any of you Toorak Tractor lovers need a reliable guy call Peter on:

And the best bit - Got it for under 30k :D with 12 months rego and just serviced.
Went out on Sunday into the bush with some friends and my father in his 100 series with a big lift, 4.2 diesel and aftermarket turbo, the Disco smashed the cruiser in every department, especially in performance, surprisingly to all of us! And the Disco didn't slide anywhere near as much in the mud with road tyres V's new AT's on the Cruiser..? are they really this good or was I high on life from the new purchase...
So next step is to meet some of the forum goers and hopefully tag along on some beginner 4wd'n trips (in NSW) to learn pointers and how on earth the electronically controlled everything works.
