Workshop manuals for D3/LR3

My mate is getting more and more bills for his V6 Petrol engine LR3 so it's time to start some DIY.
The issue we have is that HAYNES only publish a Workshop manual for the LR3 Diesel engine cars.

Apart from the obvious engine differences do we think that the manual will of help when it comes to working on other parts of the car? There can't be that many differences between the Diesel and Petrol variants surely?

Ditto - I've been just using CSI until now. This is great.
