New Toy: Wireless Tyre Pressure Monitor

Hi all,

For those interested, i just purchased a tyre pressure management system for my 110. I decided to get the screw in sensors, as the cost involved with taking the tyre of the rim for 5 wheels would be too high. The unit reads both pressure and temperature, when comparing it to my expensive pressure gauge it find readings to be accurate, within 1-2 psi. Are any others using these TPMS systems, and if so, what kind.

Can you set different pressure limits for individual sensors/wheels?

We sell the sensatyre brand, a product that I have also used for the last 5 years, a very good system, and tried and tested in the outback.

Screw on sensors have a place in the market, but due to very high vibration of the rubber valve stems we always recommend steel valves, the sensors will not last very long on rubber valves.

They also don't give a accurate reading like the internal ones, it's good but inside is better.

With ours you can set temp and pressure for each tyre, or select the road condition type.

Also the standard 6 kit can be added to at any time, thus you have future proofed in case you want to tow a trailer/van of just want more spares.

I would stay away from valve stem sensors kits.

Yes you can set individual temperature and pressure limits for each sensor.

i got one for my 7 week trip.

didnt need or use it once.

but it is interesting that all new cars in the /uSA are required by law to have it as standard.
