Spotted in a thicket near Cloncurry QLD, never seen one before, cant find it on google, looks a bit like a Puffin ???

Yep! kept by many people in the UK (if not here) as pets!

Hello this is a zebra finch typically found in Western Queensland.

Yep zebra finch. Had them and budgies in avery as a youngster!!

They actually have a pretty wide distribution. We see them on the outskirts of Melbourne. They can often be found in the grasslands between Werribee and the You-Yangs, and at the Western Treatment Plant which is next to Avalon Airport.
