tie rod ends

Does anyone know if td5 defender and rr classic/d1 tie rod ends are the same?They look the same but id like to know before i pull it to bits:confused:?

I dont know, but look up someones part numbers and see if they are the same part number when you search for each vehicle.

Tried that with a parts book iv had for years,different nos but also different nos for parts i know are identical,ie rrc and d1 parts

Hi RangieTonic,
Yes they are the same I used the spare ones from my D1 last weekend they fitted a treat. The only one that is different is the one that connects to the steering box arm, the Deefer one is an assemble jobbie the D1 is a screw in replacement, tis on mine anyway, mines a 2001 model.
