I'm failing on the hub front. I snapped the heads off a couple of drive flange bolts a while back and have since managed to extract one but failed on the other. In the end I gave in and ordered a new one from the UK.
Part number FRC6141 arrived. It is almost exactly the same as the hub I need to replace except that the lip for the bearing race sits further forward at the front of the hub. I didn't notice until it came to fitting the final seal. :censored:
I'm all spent and still need to find a replacement rear hub. Sending the one I have back to the UK is not worth it as the postage was more than the price of the hub. If someone wants a brand new FRC6141 hub with new races, drop me a PM.
Looks like I need part number FRC8555 which fits 90 & 110 rear drum brake axle models, from axle no (A) 22S0828480 on. Any one around Melbourne got a spare one of these by any chance? :TakeABow: Ordering another one from the UK and missing another couple of weekends is tough to swallow. Here in Auz I found some new-old stock on ebay but it will cost me another $120 delivered. Ouch.
It would be less unfortunate if I could pick up a Hub around Melbourne in the next few days with out spending another $100+ dollars.
