View Full Version : Rear Hub Trub - who has/wants a hub?

I'm failing on the hub front. I snapped the heads off a couple of drive flange bolts a while back and have since managed to extract one but failed on the other. In the end I gave in and ordered a new one from the UK.

Part number FRC6141 arrived. It is almost exactly the same as the hub I need to replace except that the lip for the bearing race sits further forward at the front of the hub. I didn't notice until it came to fitting the final seal. :censored:

I'm all spent and still need to find a replacement rear hub. Sending the one I have back to the UK is not worth it as the postage was more than the price of the hub. If someone wants a brand new FRC6141 hub with new races, drop me a PM.

Looks like I need part number FRC8555 which fits 90 & 110 rear drum brake axle models, from axle no (A) 22S0828480 on. Any one around Melbourne got a spare one of these by any chance? :TakeABow: Ordering another one from the UK and missing another couple of weekends is tough to swallow. Here in Auz I found some new-old stock on ebay but it will cost me another $120 delivered. Ouch.

It would be less unfortunate if I could pick up a Hub around Melbourne in the next few days with out spending another $100+ dollars.

Glad I could help Manic.
I should have thought about it while you were here, but holler if you need any drive flange bolts as I'll have the ones that came with those hubs here somewhere.
My boss lives at Mentone so I could probably get them a bit closer to you....

No worries I have new ones. My old clunker gets real attached to its old bolts. I'm a threads worst nightmare. Nuts bolt and bolts go nuts when they see me wielding a spanner. So I usually order new ones in before I even start. ;)
