Hello all.
Can anyone who has fitted Ashcroft's (or similar) ATB's comment on any change in fuel economy please.
I've been advised that LSD's will negatively and noticeably effect fuel economy but I wonder how much if they are ATB LSD's.
I'm still tossing up between fitting one or two ATB's so am interested to hear about any configuration.
Cheers.

I wasn't recording fuel use when I had mine fitted but I didn't notice any change in consumption through the seat of my pants. I don't see how it could change fuel consumption either. There is no slip like a torque convertor, all the power still gets to the road same as an open diff, the friction as you turn a corner will be increased but it should only be noticeable by slightly heavier steering and only for the first few kilometres.
Unless you change diff ratios at the same time...

Twin trutracs for 12 months. I keep full fuel records - no change.

To be fair to the bloke that told me, I only told him I was going to using LSD's and maybe he thought I meant the clutch type. I'm guessing they might screw with economy? Dunno.
