My D4 has been at the local Land Rover dealership getting some warranty work done (that's another story). I left it there for a fortnight so when the parts arrived it could be worked on straight away.
Well today everything had been fixed so I picked the car up and rove off when I noticed dirty scuff marks on my bonnet and noticed wiring from my bonnet going up my "A" pillar was flapping in the breeze. When I pulled up I noticed that my light bar had been stolen. The wires had been disconnected and the mount unbolted from the rack and taken.
I went back to the dealer who after seeing the empty bolt holes and loose wiring told me that I just had to buy a new bar and the would reimburse me.
Very angry that someone had jumped into a secure yard, climbed over my bonnet and stole me light bar! But...very happy with the service manager's response. Now I just have to shop around for another light bar.

Good the dealer was helpful.

We do a fair bit of work for a large interstate trucking company.
Whenever their yard is broken into, all that dissapears are the spotlights off the trucks.Nothing else has ever been taken, not even tools.

They've tried to change the name to Gateshead South. It says you're from Canberra, he do you know about our lovely locals? ;-)

I come from Belmont and my family still live there. When I was 18 (am now close to 60) my Dad was building the mine air shaft at the back of Bennets Green and when school finished for the term I had to go up to the site and act as a security guard to stop all the ferals from Windale getting in and stealing all my dad's gear. Got paid $10 a day.

I guess not much has changed over 40 years and I am surprised the car yard does not have better security as the car yards in that area and up into Gateshead are always being done over.
