Has anybody managed to get their hands on a paper version of the Puma workshop manual?
I have the electronic version but if I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and my laptop decides not to co-operate, I'd like a back-up. An old-school, paper based back-up.
Does anyone know if LR produce them?

Hi Bobby,
Yes, Land Rover produces them. Very impressive white volumes with British racing green edging and trim.
Land Rover Defender Workshop Manual | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/land-rover-defender-workshop-manual)
I used to have a copy for the last 2 years of the 300Tdi (98-99) that was unique in Britain as they started running some of the Td5's electronics.
We used to buy them through our club (90, 110 and Defender Owners Club) and they were from the official publishing house. I'll see if I can make contact with one of the lads and check if they have access to the 2007 onward Tdci manual in hard copy.
There is however a chance that they are not and might not ever be actually printed as everybody seem to work off laptops (hence the availability of CDs pretty much everywhere)...
Cheers,
Lou

I'm sure they do, but at a cost.
Another idea print it out and bind it in a Archlever file. I've done that for home.
In my case I carry all my manuals as PDF's on my iPad. Back up is the iphone and external HDD. I've been using laptops, PDA, tablets and smartphones in the field for over 15 years now and never had a problem. Just look after them.
Cheers

I know this is about hard copy, but does anyone have a digital copy of a WM for the 2.2?

Righto,
I've dropped off my USB drive with the PDF on it with Kwik Kopy and they're going to quote me for printing it out on A4, in a format that can be ring-bound (I said I'd do the hole punching myself).
When I get the quote I'll let you all know how much they are as I'm happy to print a few copies and send them if you PM me with your address and send me a bank transfer for the cost.
Anyone keen, if they're relatively cheap?

GOOD LORD!
Over $300 each.....to print it out 2 pages per page, in colour.
Not a chance....that's ridiculous. I might just have to find another way...but it won't be using the high street printers.
Apologies for getting hopes up.

Bobby,
I would get a couple more quotes if possible.
We deal with commercial printers on every project and there is no rime nor reason for the quotes we receive. They differ as much as $200 between printing companies for a set of A1 drawings.
Cheers,
Lou
