accommodation near gold coast

The mrs and i are looking at heading up to watch the suns v demons at metricon stadium on august 20.
Was just seeing if people know of a place to stay near by that will take us, tent and dog??

You're welcome to pitch it at my place, but being 109km away might be a hassle.

Surely some AULRO member close by could put you up?

Alternatively, you could try Canungra showgrounds. Nice little place to camp for free(?) or very cheap. Not sure if they'll take the dog though. Canungra Show Society (http://www.canungrashowsociety.org/accommodation.html)
