Hi,
Does anyone know what power supply I need to run a DEXXA 4800 flatbed scanner?
The unit does not have any indication of needed voltage, current or polarity.
Plus I cannot find any details on the 'net, yet.
Any help would be appreciated.

"DEXXA is no longer in business and has no e-mail or phone support options. Computer Hope may still be able to assist you with any technical support related questions, but cannot assist you with any part replacements, warranty, or other company specific related questions"
would probably look at either getting a new scanner or you could try one of these.
Power Supplies & UPS: Ritmo 65W Mini Universal AC Adapter with Auto LED - Australia Computer Online (http://www.computeronline.com.au/products.php?C_ID=26&S_ID=421&PROD=28774)
automatic switching Universal notebook adaptor.
Just have to pick the right size plug that fits and the power supply does the rest..

but that's assuming it just uses your standard run of the mill barrel plug.

Hi Rovers4,
With the current cost of a replacement FBS, it would be easier to by know brand like Canon or similar. you should be able to get something for around $100..

Thanks team!
I had hoped that I might be able to get it going. But if the Co is now defunct, and no-one here seems to have one for comparrison, I will junk it.
It wasnt to be a main unit, just a facility in a different area to where I have a m.f. unit.
I see that the cited adaptor is A.C. My unit I think is D.C.- there are no powerdiodes or filters in it. The circuit is hard to decipher.
Thanks, again.

I have the same scanner and the power supply is on the label underneath the scanner - it says DC 13v to 15v.

Hi, thanks for all your help.
My unit did not have a label. It must have peeled off some time ago.
Anyway, it has now gone to scanning heaven, or is that scan'eaven.
Thanks team.
