Time for a suspension change on the 90, has anyone got any pictures of a 90 on a 2in lift so I can get an idea how she'll look, wheels and tyres are standard 235's (for now :) )

Piccies of my 1998 300Tdi 90 County Hard Top at a weekend camp out in Northern Wales (this is obviously summer...).:D
Full Terrafirma 2" lift kit (coils and shocks), but the car is fitted with 255/85/16 BFG Muddies (the previous series before the KM2).
Bullbar is off the now defunct Scorpion Racing UK and the winch is a Goodwinch TDS 9.5 (Goldfish waterproofing) with synthetic line.
Cheers,
Lou

Cheers, going for the terrafirma kit as well and also got a Goodwinch fitted :D what springs have you got? was going to try the medium kit as I tow a camper trailer a fair bit.

Those were the mediums as well. They were soft enough for a good ride, but empty the 90 was a little bit "tail high" in its stance. They might have been a bit long, but they worked fine on and off road and loaded for touring it was absolutely perfect.
I should have done the same as you and brought the 90 over, but my own fault for not investigating enough. Sold it for 7K British just before we came over and it would have been worth double to triple that over here. Low milage with no rust and professionally wax oiled...:(

Mine is the 90 TD5 XS so specced up with everything from A/c to heated leather seats, a very rare car even in the UK so no chance of getting anything similar over here, our complete move waited on owning the Landie 12months, had to delay the removals because of it, best thing we did though.
Not sure about the tail being higher as it's a daily driver so is empty most of the time.

out of interest, can you post before and after flex shots when you fit the new suspension?
also if I may ask, why are you lifting?
(trying to get peoples opinions on the topic of lifting 90's as im unsure if I want to lift mine of just fit flexier springs and longer shocks and keep standard height, due to the instability of the 90 as it is :|)

It'll be awhile before I actually carry out the lift as I've just replaced the Harmonic balancer (and anyone whose forked out for one knows there are extortionately expensive).
Reasons are fairly simple, bigger tyres eventually to give a bit more diff clearance and after 160K the factory ones are getting tired. Stiffer springswill hopefully counteract any instability (although I don't think the 90's are unstable anyway) :)
