It gets even worse when the high-priced bit you want is "NLA". I had trouble in recent years trying to find a 53-58 handbrake boot, so i modded up a Series 2 unit. I see they're back in stock now, though. Scare your wallet silly any time looking for taillights, brake master cylinders, or even the old S1-2A blinker switch!

It's examples like these that don't make me feel so bad about cluttering up the joint with Landies and bits!

The only time if want the original plugs is if I was at a concorce show... They ain't real good.... I use Honda rubber shielded jobs in black plastic Even got a pull handle and don't look out of place( well sorta don't ) .... Now if they were a 10 buck deal I'd grab em but.....for show . Bakelite is like a 75 rpm record or old nitride film stock.... Even nos is near dead by now....

That's funny, I'm still using the original bakelite spark plug caps on my Series I without any problems. Got me to Cooma & back a few years ago and she starts & runs perfectly OK.
Just cleaned them and fitted new copper cored leads.

I just few on I ain't got them and with the involvement of Lucas I'm better of with good solid leads and new caps... Free yep ....$ 2500 a set nah thanks

Don't get me wrong i collect bakerlite furniture and radios ...
