That looks ace!
My eyes, or did it "swim" that water crossing?
Also looks like you can adjust air pressure from inside?
FUN :)

Kinda reminds me of a wheeled version of the "Huglands" that the British MOD would sell off at their disposal sales a couple of years ago,"Juddy" would know what I am talking about.
cheers

On a quick look they do seem quite similar, but if you look carefully the second one is quite different, the drive for the second one comes from a drum between the first and second and third and fourth wheels which sits on the tyres and drives them from the tyres. There is anothe clearer uTube video of this particular situation and you can see that at least part of the problem is that when it gets stuck the drum turns and juddered the wheels but slips and is not turning them. The first video clearly has a direct drive system to the wheels.

The title in previous post simply says 'All Yerain Vehicle',
comments say its a hodgepodge of ex mil vehicles and that you can buy a Unimog cheaper and better.
this one is my choice of Russian kit , esp because it sort of looks Defenderish from the rear in the slide on the ice

I had a look at the other video you mentioned and you are quite right about the drive. I can now see that those two machines have very little in common, apart from the number of wheels. :)

It was a bastard to translate, searches for "pennant" got me a whole heap of KGB rubbish
Russian is difficult in that you need to learn a new alphabet, as well as a new dialect. Makes for a fun DIY course though :p

Here's another interesting looking thing.
Google Translate (http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=http://www.xn--80awb9e.net/&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%25D0%25AF%25D0%259C%25D0%2590%25D0%2 59B.net%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den)
They do a bigger one as well.

No good for us here though. Look at the top speed on paved roads.
