Flinders ranges NP or Gammon ranges NP

Been looking at the maps,we were going to have a few days camping in one of these NPs.Leaving in a couple of weeks.
We will be coming down from Broken Hill,maybe go north at Yunta and head in that way.

After our stay will be heading north to Marree,and up to Cooper Peedy.

So my question is,which are the nicer camping spots,and the best things to see?

You can't go wrong with Willow Springs Homestead. (Also home to Skytreck). We based ourselves there for a week, had a remote but nice camp ground with fire pit and drop toilet that was a 10 min drive from the homestead where there are hot showers. Easy access to the Flinders, Wilpena Pound and the gorges etc.... Wherever you go you'll enjoy it!! :)

Camping with facilities or bush camping? Just in the western side of the Gammons is the abandoned Idninha Homestead, on a 4WD only track in and through the Gammons. Arkaroola is privately owned but has many 4wd attractions, just to the north and connected to the Gammons by tracks. The Gammon Ranges are much more arid and rugged than the Flinders.

Flinders Ranges is really great out of season but too accessible by 2wds for you to be alone. Wilpena is a great base for the Flinders NP if you like walking the Pound with kids.

But....

The Gammon R are some of my favourite destinations. I have never visited for less than 5 days...

There is a lot to see in both areas but some significant distances for only a couple of days.

The creeks and gorges offer spectacular colour as do the ranges early and late in the day.

We enjoyed Willow Springs and Skytrek and it is certainly central, but I don't know the Gammon Ranges so can't compare them.
