Heard on the radio today about this news station which could be in big trouble. Funny in a sick kinda way : Asiana Pilots names from KTVU News - YouTube (http://youtu.be/L1JYHNX8pdo)

Gold. Doesn't matter who wrote that, if the news reader is that dumb, then they deserve to be in trouble...

It's very clever - maybe slightly in poor taste given the deaths in the accident - but clever. Certainly NOT racist.

I'd agree, it's funny. But, humour is subjective and not something we all agree on.
So on one hand, yes. It's funny, and if you're stupid enough to run it then you shouldn't be on television.
But, given that two young girls died it's also kinda in poor taste.
And I'd agree with stallie, seems whenever race is brought up, the assumption is that the person is being racist. Annoys me no end.

I made the point to someone the other day that after the BA777 that suffered a similar fate had someone in jest called the pilot Captain Nigel Smash-iton would you throw the race card there?

It is sad that as soon as someone disagrees with a comment from another who is from a different culture, it is now called racism.
Stallie you people are transiting YPPD a lot these days.....the twotter is only there until the end of the month, will have to relearn 212 for the casual fixing.

G'Day PF - yes we sure are. Keeping pretty busy, but I'm in the office until the end of the month. We're usually pushed for time and/or dealing with customs or I'd try and pop over and say g'day.

Have you got your dry season yet? when I was up there mid last month before my leave, it was p!ssing rain and went to minimums on the RNAV. Got in just.

The C212s are still around - they'll be flying about on a new contract, so I'll still get a hand in to break them as well :p
