We only use our D3 twice a week. When we park it, it is in say normal height but when we come back to it the next day it has gone down. If left for more than a day it can go down to bump stops. It goes down all level. The guy i bought it off said he replaced the air bags. What is a posible cause? Thought i should start with checking connections on air bags.

The car does check and make adjustments to the suspension.....but from my experience does not go down that much and that quickly.

Sounds like a leak to me.

Others will confirm.

Yep sounds like a Valve block is leaking.
Disconnect you battery and see which corner / end goes down overnight.
Take measurements on each corner and note the next day the difference.
At least you will no where approx the problem is.

The car periodically checks itself to see if level. If one corner drops a little, all the others will drop accordingly. The process repeats until its all the way down.

Follow what this guy says to diagnose where the leak might be:

He has some other quite good "how to" vids as well.

Interesting - he uses "Arnott Industries" replacement air strut assemblies... https://www.arnottindustries.com/part_LAND_ROVER_yid4_pid175.html

Come with a lifetime warranty. It says co-developed by Bilstein in USA - I wonder if that is the different to the one imported to Australia (giving problems)?

yes I wondered the same thing. I checked their website and noted that they only specified for D3. I have no doubt they are fine for the D4 but had in the back of my mind the observations Graeme had mad on the differences between D3 and D4 suspension. I was intending to do more research on it in anticipation of replacing mine in the near future.

Update on the air leak. I pulled the fuse as the youtube video said. The car seems like it is going down all together. Can anyone suggest what the problem may be? I am not completely aware of how the system works. Is it possible that both front and rear valve blocks have junk in them?

Which fuse did you remove? It needs to be the engine bay 20A air suspension fuse, noting that there is also a 5A fuse that is only for the 'compressor relay closed' detection signal. Disconnecting the battery is another option.

I removed the one old matey on the video said to remove but it may seem i have removed the wrong one. Thanks for thought.

There's a legend under the lid but the symbols can be a bit trying to decipher.

I finally installed the new valve block in the front. so far looks like problem solved. Car has sat for a day and has not gone down which before was happening. Thanks all for advice.
