Would a snatch strap with 6000 kg capacity and 2 shackles rated at 3.25 ton be a bit light on for a 110. asking because thats what I already have in the back of my suzuki ..or get some upgraded ones for my defender..They have yanked my brothers disco out of the slop once or twice, connected to the zook ,seemed to do the job..

I'd say a bit light. There is suction and incline in there as well. I now it's a pain to buy again but bits aren't that expansive any more.
I use 4.5T shackles and an 8 or 11T snatch. Overkill suits me fine when it come to snatching.

Could not agree more I work on a 3 to 1 ratio where I can 1 for the car 1 for the reason 1 for the way out for rough figures
2t Rangie in my case 2t for the reason and 2t for the way out 6t but I carry a 8t min in the back but also have a short 15t (5mtr) if things get real bad.

Keep the light one just to use as a tow strap and save wear and tear on a new heavier one.

I have busted an 8,000kg one doing a recovery, depends on the quality too, I think.

Yep, do me.
I dont own a snatch strap and I dont travel in convoy.
Last time I did that was in the sixty's on a trip to the cape.

[QUOTE=dawsey;1953038]this isnt to
She would last 5 minutes in some of the places we go, midges & the rest of the flying biting brigade, besides, she doesn't look like she could bait a crab pot, best kept at home, out of sight of the missus. :D Bob
