A little help needed in Burleigh Heads QLD

Hi all, I'm after a bit of assistance from a member in the Burleigh Heads QLD area. I have a 2011 Defender 90 LE, and like many owners here it is challenging to finding a bull bar to fit. I have decided to go the custom build route and have asked Greg from Outcast Offroad to build a bar for me. Small issue we have is that I am in Tassie and he is in QLD. We have tried to use pictures and my measurements, and a Defender Greg had access to; however we have found that the Front of the LE chassis is slightly different to the Defender Greg used as an initial template.

My big ask is for any member with a 2.4 Puma with air-con who lives or is travelling close to Burleigh Heads could drop in to Outcast Offroad at 3/4 Ramley Drive Burleigh Heads so that Greg can see the chassis first hand and take accurate measurements. If you have a Terrafirma steering guard fitted as well that would be of great help.

Not sure if my puma can help you here... It's a 2011 with air con.. But is also an Xtech so the front lights are more raised than yours but if he feels that it would help I can make the trip there this afternoon... Will pm you my phone number..

As well as going custom you might not know that LR Australia recently launched a new bar that is supposed to fit the SVX/LE versions, see thread here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130-defender-county/177180-new-bull-bar-lr.html

My wife rang Melbourne City LR recently and asked about it, they confirmed it fits the limited, in fact they claimed that is the whole reason it has been created, lots of LE owners looking for a bull bar option. Not sure I believe that though given the small numbers but you never know. We're currently debating getting one and will of course post some pics if we do.

Hi guys,

Thanks heaps for all your suggestions. Outcast Offroad have already made the bar and it certainly looks the goods, unfortunately it was the mounting framework that wasn't quite right.

Luckily for me Sue has offered her 90 as a template, and as it's an Xtech it is perfect.

Once the bar is on I will post up some pics.

Hey all,

Firstly, I have to say a huge thanks to Sue for putting time aside from her trip preparations to help me out and contact Greg at Outcast Offroad to offer her Xtech for him to take some measurements for a bullbar mounting brackets. Unfortunately for me some parts Greg needed to start the work did not arrive within a time frame that fitted in to Sue's travel itinerary.

So, now the parts have arrived, I am hoping there may be another member in the Burleigh Heads region with either a 90 Xtech, or 2011 Defender that can help out and head to Outcast Offroad for me so that some measurements can be taken by Greg.

If anyone can help out, please PM me and I can pass on additional info and contact numbers.
