Indeed. Been around a looooong time.

Am I the only one who thinks it is a hideous POS???

It only has a 235HP 3.5 Rover V8. You could pay a competent panel beater to build one for a lot less than $155k. At the same time you could fit wider track axles, decent brakes and suspension that works so it would handle a billion times better than that POS.

If you want a classic roadster then don't start with a Land Rover...

id build my idea on a mordernish Forest rover long before that......think start with a series 3 or at latest stage 1, link suspension front/rear steering planetries and kenetic suspesnion. For road driving id spend the some of the left over on a MK1 VW golf and be way more comfortable than that thing :D

Definitely not alone, that thing is as ugly as sin! Would have been a bit more logical to start with an on-road performance oriented chassis than a farm hack.

I'd rather a Caterham or similar...

OK - should have said series land rover. I quite like that one.

That one is based on a RRC/Disco/110, and would be more capable on and off road than the original it was based on, unlike the series thing...

The only thing missing is the John Deere logo :D
Then again the rims should be yellow......

What do you mean? It looks more like a tank than a tractor mate :D
Roadsters dont give you off road fun but this one packs a punch. I reckon it's the colour that doesn't do it justice. Put some black or dark army green on it and it'll turn some senile heads in the neighbourhood!

No comment on the price range though.. ;)

Tis a good use for a rolled 90,and it looks road legal probably register it as a home built kit car,and with a Landrover chassis it would be classed as a Land Rover Kit Car, wait a minute, aren't they ALL kit cars --Eer Mechano sets :D
