Seriously, can you do better than this for product placement?

How awesome looking is this car? I'll never own one but if any of you have the wherewithal, go for it! How can you not?

Its my lotto car...

All these people who would buy Ferrari's, Zonda's or other super cars, for me it would be a new Autobiography.

Ahh the money:p

I thought the same when I saw it

You can't buy that , Land Rover marketing must have been wetting themselves

Reminds me in the uk when Prince William was spotted driving a D1 V8 in a field when he was 13. The papers had the picture of him driving the disco on every front page with all the details of the car and saying the Prince William drives a high powered V8 Land Rover.

Fact of the day
Land Rover is the only company in the world that has all the Royal Warrants of Appointments available . You only get these if a top royal has bought more than three purchases from a company and paid for them out of their personal account and not house account or government account for them.

To save anyone else having to look it up...

Royal Warrants can only be granted by:

- Queen Elizabeth II
- Duke of Edinburgh
- Prince of Wales

Land Rover is the only company that has had a Royal Warrant Granted by all three.

I do not know if offer any value to LR but to the manufacturer of the baby capsule which it is own by an Australian lady in USA and would be interesting to see how the sales of this product perform in the next 12 months.
Here in Oz a couple of adverting articles in Woman's Weekly and will be enough for the followers to get one.

I always admire the Poms for self promotion of LR Products, there is always a Landie to be seen on any BBC production, hardly ever a "foreign" 4x4..

It would be one of many discreetly armoured Land and Range Rovers that are produced by either Landrover Special Vehicles or one of the bespoke modification companies, that do this type of thing for Royality and Govt Departments like the British Police and Anti-Terrorist orginations, you can bet that that D3/4 was also armoured.I remember seenin Armoured Range Rover's both Classics and P38's for sale in British Landrover Mags offered by the MOD, similar with the Defenders both both NI and ex Afgani.

cheers

If you've got it... flaunt it.

I went to see David Attenborough speak last night, he made several references to landrovers. Most of the audience would probably not have noticed them but it struck me that he never referred to getting out of a 4x4, landcruiser, or a jeep but specifically a landrover.

Probably being sold via Witham SV Armoured Land Rovers, MOD Sales, Military Vehicles & Used Ex MOD Land Rovers for Sale (http://www.mod-sales.com/direct/vehicles/,82,/Armoured_Land_Rovers.htm)

They don't currently have any flashy ones for sale, but I've seen armoured D3's, Range Rovers, & Jags on their site. The D3 even had a seperate bomb proof 'panic room' in the load space :o

That's also to Do with the fact in real life you don't see many foreign 4x4's anyway.

Yeah, Witham Specialist Vehicles BUT,I will lay London to a Brick that you can't get one into this country if you are only a common Land Rover owner :(

It's not actually self promotion at all....the Brits seriously do not consider any other brands (foreign) as being competition.....they probably wouldn't be allowed anyway....LOL. :wasntme:

Jokes aside, they definitely do not consider anything other than a LR product as a real 4WD.

This time last year I drove all over the UK, after weeks of driving I could count on one hand the number of Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi products that I passed......as in Pajero, Landcruiser and Patrol.

There are lots of Jap smaller SUV types around and plenty of Premium Euro models but I was astounded by the number of LR products....I know they make them there but the other 'Real' 4WDs Companies just didn't get a look in.
