There are real experts on this site and with detailed current knowledge of road conditions etc so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
We are sadly losing our excellent neighbours for a couple of years. They are 50's but experienced campers/4WDers and transferring to Brisbane and driving via the outback in about 6 weeks in their not so young troopie, so a couple of questions about the best options for the proposals are listed below.

Laverton - EITHER Cooper Pedy (Anne Beedell), OR Cocklebiddy - Neal Junction (Connie Sue) then Cooper Pedy (Anne Beadell)?

To Lake Eyre EITHER western access from William Creek OR southern access from Marree?

From Maree EITHER Birdsville Track and take public access SE to Innaminka to Noccundra OR Marree to Lyndhurst Strzelecki and Old Strzelecki, or Camerons Corner to Noccundra?

All comments welcomed. Cheers Gavin

theyre all good adventures, I've done all possible variations from Brisbane to William Ck and probably enjoy via Noccundra, Tibooburra,Innamincka and down to Maree the most. But you will be doing the reverse. I recommend slow and stop and look around as much as you can. Its really a fantastic drive.....I'm off again in two weeks from Emerald to Longreach down to Windorah (that leg is a great slow drive) across to Birdsville then down to William Ck and then back.....all in 6 days.....good grief!

The Birdsville races will be on around that time. There's going to be a lot of traffic in the Corner Country. .W.

Birdsville races are first w/e in September so I should miss majority of traffic.
