disco 1 lt230 problem

Hi guys im wrinting from Venezuela and i have a 1995 discovery serie 1.
The reason i write is becouse My transfer box died and here in My country the government had in 2005 defenders 110 with lt230 t-box. These defender doesnt work today and they were taken to a jonkyard.. So i found one of these t-box lt230 for sale but i was wondering what should i do to know if these transfer is in good condition to work and put in my disco.... My disco use lt230 and someone told me that its the same and that ill not Have problem... If there is any difference let me know... Thanks and Sorry for the inconvenience

tell us more of this "Clunk", it it when you put it into Drive or Reverse? or is it while Driving normally or when accelerating and de-accelerating Sharply, it may well be something else not you LT230, i believe there all the same, however someone else may be able to correct me if im wrong on that..
