Wayne, this track sends shivers down my spine everytime I hear it, so I know what you mean :) I can't explain it maybe it is the vocal harmonies, or the guitar, but it is a fantastic piece of music. Desperado is another one of theirs I like.

:p Yes My Daughter and I were at first perplexed by the devils horns heavy metal hand gestures, the crowd surfing and the 'slipknot' metal worshipping t shirts in the audience pics...then we came to the same conclusion:eek:

Always liked the Eagles, but what do we think of their last album, Long Road out of Eden?
Personal favourites are "life in the fast lane" and "get over it"

Hi Justin, very smooooth rendition! For comparison check out the original song from 1969,on an LP (remember them) called " Rock, Salt and Nails" by the composer, Steve Young. Maybe on iTunes or YouTube.
Cheers, Peter .

Thanks Justin, having last heard the original in '69, a friend of mine had the album, I have just now listened to the '69 version and the later '72 version both by Steve Young on youtube . Aren't they stunning. The most interesting thing is that the original was a waltz in three four time whereas the Eagles version is in the much more common four four time.
Totally different.
Cheers, Peter.

Will have to listen to these tonight - can't get youtube where I am now.

My personal favorite of theirs is "the last resort". Have loved it ever since I first heard it.
