Avon Descent - Extract Weir

Not done is before but want to take a look at this years Avon Descent - Extracts Weir is supposed to be good - any suggestions? Any idea what time they come through the Weir - imaging it would be quite early?

Also, any tracks up that way worth having a play on the way back?

There is Sappers camp on the far side which is 4x4 only but I don't know if they allow people in there during the Avon.

I Know you can't camp of the weekend but thats just before the end of day 1 near long pool I believe

Send Peter (FISHGUTS) a pm. He's one of the safety marshals or similar on these events and would know the route pretty well. ;)

Bells rapids is a good spot to watch , will be a good event this year as they say the Avon is running at a good capacity .
