We haven't been able to play with them yet, as not all of the electronics are connected. They have a throw of 50 metres, so will be useful on light aircraft in the unlikely event of a mishap. There is also a FLIR camera mounted in the top.

Have you seen the ones to pierce the fuselage on larger aircraft to then
fill the inside with water/foam?

I have heard about them but not seen any.

I have been told??? that the airstrip is now large enough to land a "Jumbo".

Any chance of a couple of shots to show the size of the strip?

That strip is impressive, I zoomed in on the runway on Google Maps, it looks long enough to land a Jumbo, but then they have plenty of room for the length.

Called a bumper monitor, which applies agent ie water or foam, to fires in much the same way as the roof mounted one, only at a lower level and output.

What's the gadget at -25.188360, 130.972320 , is that for training.

Runway is 2590 metres which is long enough for a jumbo (Sydney E/W runway is 2500) but being only 30 metres wide, the outboard engines would be hanging out in the dirt. Our common aircraft types are 737, A320 and Embraer 190.

Yes, that "gadget" would be our training mockup.

I've only seen them in videos and we dont have any in Australia. Called a Schnozzle? I think, or something like that.
