Who is entering the challenge, and who is going up to watch ?
I think I might give it a go this time.
Went up to MOA on the weekend, and I am full of confidence.

Excellent.....I am more than happy to be pulled out by a classy range rover, and not a bunky old D2 or D1 ;-) just stirring....
See you then.

Unfortunately I'll be up on Cockatoo Island when it's on - and then off to Tassie shortly after. :D
Was that your Disco they showed in the "owner's pics" on the latest 4WDTV show Brett - photo taken on rocks near Esperance. Only a quick glimpse, but it looked like yours.

It was mine.....on Dunn Rocks just the other side of Lucky Bay, after returning from the east of Israelite Bay. I had a few other shots that I sent in, but they did not pick the best one. The others ones had some wheels of the ground so maybe they thought it was not responsible to show those ones.

I'll be there as usual, probably in the RRS...:D
MOA is a long way to go for the weekend...great place though stayed there for 7 nights on three occasions. Usually stay at Shady Bay campsite - where did you stay? Some challenging stages that even the D1 couldn't get up:o
Cheers

Heh Mike,
We drove up Friday and came back Sunday night/Monday morning.
Camped about 30kms down Indian Ocean drive on the way back....Knobbies head or something like that.
At MOA just camped near the main area. There are some good places, but they have not had rain for 8 months. Mal had to use the bore to fill up for the mud run.

So you were in number 48 ? The last entry was accepted this arvo.
Should be a bit of fun.
Gordon (gghaggis) will be up in his Evoque.....and he knows how to drive.
Plus a few others from this forum.

Cool.....just checked the list and saw both of them in.
Gordon has put a Facebook post.....the RRS is going next year for a new LR....but he won't say which LR he is going with.
Oh the suspense.

Well it was certainly a fun weekend....apart from the rain, and the blowy Saturday night.
Team W4 put on a great show....with just the right amount of mud and water.
It was amazing to watch how each vehicle from the Series LR's through to 90, 110, Range Rovers and RRS, D1, D2, D3, D4's and even Gordon's Evoque performed over the courses. The 110's seemed it eat the rough obstacles well, while some of the smaller ones made light work of the tight courses. But I am biased....the traction aids on the RRS, D3's and D4's were amazing.
I was very happy with how my D4 went, and apart from smashing the ornamental side tubes (even on max height some rocks were still too big to climb over without grinding), and paint removed off 3 spots on the bull-bar (dam tree got in the road), we made it home with pride intact.
Looking forward to next years event.
