Baldwin fuel filter for TD5

There is no stock of TD5 fuel filters in Colombia right now. I'm going in a long trip near Venezuela (really ugly diesel) next week, so no time to have a filter from UK. I have found in local stores 2 references M16x1.5 from Baldwin, BF988 and BF1221. Both are OK for install, but don't know on the micra terrain... does any body knows?

The Baldwin BF1221 is the same as Rover AEU-2147L

is for Tdi , will fit a Td5 but the filtration is finer on a Td5 filter

it also has a water separator.

Look at it this way, its going to be better than a Britpart filter, but not as good as a proper Td5 Filter.

Certainly worth buying and carry as spare filters. Just be sure to drain the water separator each morning if you suspect bad fuel.

As aftermarket filters go, Baldwin is one of the better ones IME.

Thanks. Here we only get Britpart, so going for BF1221. Any reference in Donaldson? Do you have filtration size from the LR specs? I haven´t found it.
