shame they didnt have that sort of recording equipment back when the Porsche 917 were doing 411km/h.....

Check about 1:10, something, possibly a shocker remote canister fell off it.
Beautiful sound that thing made though.

What really sucks is back when new a 917 package ready to race was only 16,000 pounds. Which back then was a lot but try doing the same these days for a comparative figure.
