I remember some time back members were discussing buying vehicle hoists. On the off chance some one bought a RADUM 2 post, there is this information, Bob

Radum Pty Ltd (http://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/1050222)

I am in the business of servicing and maintaining vehicle hoists. Unless you buy a 2 post vehicle hoist in the high end of the market I would not recommend installing one. I am talking seriously from a safety point of view.

I was up at Farmfest at Caboolture in Qld.a short while ago,and picked up their paperwork for a friend it looked a little light for what he needed/wanted,but I have seen their manual wheel changer in use, seemed OK.

I hope they've sorted themselves out as I'm off to look at their 4.2t two poster tomorrow.

That was disappointing.

I was told they're closing down their Sydney branch & they had some 2 posters going cheap because of this & some change to regs regarding earthquakes.

As it turns out, these 'cheap' hoists are actually the un-fixed recall hoists & they're not certified for use anywhere.

The salesman didn't mention the recall until I asked about it & didn't mention the failure items in the recall, just that the arms needed replacing.

Now, maybe.
Soon, maybe not.

Radum are closing their Sydney branch due to an employee stealing a lot of money & gear from the branch. The family running the business are planning on downsizing & sticking with their Melbourne business only.

Don't know, the guy there today (part of the family & looking after Sydney until it closes) only mentioned Sydney, Brisbane & going back to their roots in Melbourne.

I didn't realise they were all over Australia; I hadn't even heard of them until a few days ago.
