Yep.

After clicking on the "buy it now"... then click on "commit to buy" then click on "pay now" it gives you these options

Pay with
Choose a payment option
PayPal
Money Transfer
Merchant Account - Credit Card
Other (See item description for details)

pretty sure if you choose paypal, that it then loads paypal's website where anyone can enter their account info for you.

Hi Keith,

While there is no doubt that would be possible having paid for stuff with PayPal that my sister had bought (but was having computer problems) it was only after we had it agreed to by the seller. There were no problems but I would still check with ebay as the Seller Protection only covers sending to the PayPal address, not any other and needs to be posted in accordance with PayPal requirements for Seller Protection.

Anyway if you are the seller go to the top rhs of an ebay page -
Customer Support
Contact ebay tab
Selling
Getting Paid
rhs - Contact Us

You have a number of options including -
CALL US (8.00AM - 9.00PM, etc) This gives you a number (1800322928 generally) with a token that is valid generally for fifteen minutes.

OR better go for
CALL ME. - They call you back (currently 9.40AM the wait was 3 minutes)
Usually a very nice American will be very helpful and give you advice on what to do - and of course wish you a nice day:p

You can choose to have stuff sent to an alternate official address in your paypal profile. I sent a CD to my mum that way, no probs.

I've also used my paypal account to pay for another persons goods, it went without a hitch. Money is money, so long as no-one stuffs up it all goes through.

Ive done it for family before.
I log into their ebay, purchase item, and pay. If they want it sent to their home, I just log into PayPal, change my adress to theirs, pay for item, then change back adresses again.

Only takes a minute..

Yup you can. It's good that you can too, as I vow I'll never have another Paypal account. I sold a Quad Bike on Ebay and Paypal in their infinite wisdom decided to hold my money for 8 weeks!!! All they could tell me was that as the amount involved was over $1000AU it has to be held poor a 'period of time' due to money laundering!!! Muppets! You can pay by card tho as said before! :)

A view from the other side.

I recently bought a couple of T handles on Ebay (I won't mention the seller but he sells them in multiples) They didn't arrive. I contacted the seller who really didn't give a damn and was most unhelpful. I raised a dispute with Paypal who contacted the seller - he didn't bother to reply - and so I've been compensated.

It's not a great deal of money but it's nice to know that there is some backup. Judging from the attitude of the seller, had I paid by direct transfer there would have been no form of redress.
