I have spent some time working on a remote island in Russia's far east.
Most vehicles are pretty well unregistrable....by our standards and there is an extremely high rate of drink driving and it doesnt matter what time of the day it is!
Russian people seem to me too lack a fear gene as well.
I think if the 90 had not been stopped where he was the 110 might have made it across as he would have exited a tad further down and come up the bank rather than hit a wall.

Actually you often see that on youtube particularly with trucks . If its still on its wheels, there is still hope no matter how deep or fast the water is flowing. Those crazy Russians seem to take first place with no fear. Maybe just drunk like you say. The only Russian I know says drinking is a huge problem in the country. Makes Australians look like amatures.
