my poor missus is in the wars

broke her arm a few weeks ago,

and now she has just gone home to find a massive carpet snake on her ironing board..

not a happy girl!

is the understatement of the year....

i am still stuck as work :p

luckily neighbor and daughter got it under control just as uncleho arrived on the scene after a quick phone call from me asking if he could assist her..

thanks for the assist kev...

we keep one window open about 100mm so the cat can come and go at will..

bet that don't happen any more and the mog will finish digging it's way thru my front door....

Well that explains why you never see a snake with wrinkled clothing! :D

Bad news about her ladyship's arm Inc, hope it heals quickly for her.

There's always someone up here who likes to keep a door open for some reason, and they always seem to wind up with a king brown in the house, sooner or later.

P.S. What's an "ironing board"?

Nah, you'll be opening and closing the door 100 times a day. ;)

have you checked the cat is still around

If the snake has a bump in it and meows when its moves.....you might want to run a microchip scanner over it:D

Give the cat to the snake he'll be to fat to get through the window and your doors stay safe.

The snake was relocated to the nearby waterfront in a cardboard carton by Inc's intrepid daughter, but the neighbour has chooks, and was missing 7 eggs this morning,so I am betting that "Joe Blake" will be back for more eggs!

Sorry Dullbird but I don't need a serpentine belt, but I have just got a timing chain kit for my 2.25ltr Series 2a which needed replacing after 174,000+miles, so I can't complain about parts not lasting.

G'day Brian Hjelm

No,I didn't take it home for tea,but they do taste like chicken if cooked properly,so I'am told.

they do, skinned properly, seasoned with chilly and BBQ suace then left in a smoker they make a very nice jerky too.

the trick with cooking them is a slow humid cooking process. if you are doing them as fillets or rings in an oven do so on a well oiled pan or teflon pan with a couple of tins of pre heated hot water near the heat source and dont use fan forced.

Season the top before cooking, turn once and season the other side, go light on the seasoning as the flavor of the meat is easily lost.

I have not tried python, but have cooked and eaten a file snake and it did taste like chicken. We coiled it on the bbq plate and that worked a treat.

"With all these recipes forthcoming, would it not have been simpler to turn the iron up full blast and start at the head end (for safety's sake) and slowly use the iron as a mobile inverted grill plate all the way down the length of the specimen, emanating a random "shot of steam" to vary the cooking process during the process? You could have seasoned with different styles of seasoning on the way and found out which was the best. With a non stick iron this should have been a relatively simple operation, although I do realise there could have been a certain degree of difficulty "one armed".:)
Tell Narelle, its just a thought, ........... for next time.
As for the broken arm bit, surely there is a less violent and more tactful manner of you wangling to drive her new disco!!!

I think that snake's name is "Trouser".

he made a reappearance, night before last, and "trouser" was rather limp for several hours before making good his escape..

refuse to kill them but he needed a lesson in what is mine and whats his...

hopefully lesson learnt and i am not called to arms again....

i was surprised the house wasnt burnt down by the time i made it home to be frank...

no tact was involved or injured during the purchase and subsequent use of said vehicle..

could have knocked me down with a feather and i was under orders to drive seeing she had to control 3 terrorists in the back seat!

they were better behaved than me and think the discovery is a major improvement on the sirion ... go figure!
