119,000kms 2008 RRS TDV8 vs Disco TDV6 HSE 2007 129,000kms

Now here we go, I need some thoughts,
I recently took a new disco 4 out for a test drive and it was great,
the main thing was the instant power no lag what so ever!
So discontentment set in gradually and I started to browse the old ad sections,
I found something on Ritters

Which seems very interesting,
My disco is fully kitted out with nearly everything I need for camping trips and is aesthetically to my taste
But the lure of a V8 is calling,
Can any body tell me the pros and cons?

just buy the tdv8 if you are half inclined, read the reports awesome engine should still be available.

ITs all ok now...made up my mind good and proper....yes i will have to spend more money in the future on the D3 but I have been hit with the biggest one already, which is the transmission....I will do the timing at 150000 and other odds and ends and all should be good .....until the D5 or new discovery comes out.......happy days ......

Depends on what you need the car for - the RRS is shorter and its shape at the rear means what space is there is compromised.

Offroad - with the same tyres there is effectively no difference - maybe the RRS is a tad better due to its shorter wheel base. Offroad equipment like bullbars are a issue.

If you carry a bit of load and maybe a few people I would go the Disco. A RRS is fine for me as I do not need the space but otherwise it would be the disco.
