Recently I've found all the pics I download from Autoblog come without a description-- Ferrari XXX, Audi7, etc. and when I try and copy them into my desktop folder win8 changes the file name, and since it doesnt have one,, they all start life as "1". This in itself is not a/the problem. The problem is it also changes the jpeg file extension to jpeg_1 . and not much opens a jpeg_1
and I cant find a way to change them back.
I cant live without my Autoblog pics!
Please Help!

just right click one of the files then set the file assosciation to open with your viewer of choice.
the viewer should be able to work it out from there.

Do you mean you can't rename 'filename.jpeg_1' to 'filename.jpg' or the problem is there is just too many files to rename.
If you have too many files to rename then 'IrfanView' has batch file conversion and a batch file rename function.

Thanks for that offer, please send AULRO bank account details.
Are you sure your file / ownership permissions were set correctly in the first place?
