Hi all,

I have a 93 (update) disco and I found that the passenger foot well is very wet?

Now the heater is already disconnected so its not a leaking heater core,

Anyone know where the water is coming from?

Also is it a smart idea to remove the black rubber underlay?

There are some small rust spots under there but Ill be fixing those tomorrow.

Aircon drain blockage is a possibility although wrong time of year for it show.

I had the same problem and I found that the windshield seal on the top left hand side corner was leaking from the outside and then water would drip inside of the A pillar. You could inspect the seal from the outside just by pouring water over, but it may need some more pressure (like it happens when you drive).
I lifted the rubber seal on top of the windshield (left hand side), and squirted a bit of silicone in there, which stopped the problem. Thats only temporary fix as the top of the windshield body is actually rusted and there is a big gap for water to get in.

Check near body mount brakets on firewall for cracks. This is a common problem with D1's as the body mount rubbers start to compress.

Check the label on the vehicle - I think you are actually in a Defender......

Another spot to look but most don't as it is a pain, but remove the bonnet, remove the wiper arms, remove the plastic cover under them and look where the guard / inner guard join right up under the windscreen as this is a spot that is out of site and can leak right where you are describing.
