Hey Guys,

A quick favour :) ?
on the drivers info screen do you have a digital speedo at the bottom right hand corner? can you change it from KPH to MPH?
I threw caution to the wind and put a deposit down on a 2010 disco 4, it is a personal import (so UK spec ) and the main speedo is in mph. I know ( pretty sure haha) that i have seen a digital speedo in the bottom right corner but cant remember if you can change it between MPH and KPH like the trip meter. i get the rig this week so i can check myself then, i'm just a little impatient ( and excited).

Yes - there is a digital speedo on the drivers screen. I believe it is a setting for the market the vehicle is sold in. So off to the dealers to set it to Km/h.

A dealer may not be able to change it but an independent with Autologic or similar should.

Thanks guys,

So you can't change it yourself via the menu. I read in the hand book, on topix (told you I was excited) that you can set the trip meter to display miles or kilometres so I thought that might change the speedo as well.

Only vehicles setup for certain markets can be changed via the service menu.

I expect that the main display will have to show kph for it to be registerable in Australia. I recall many years ago that kph scale stickers had to be fitted over the mph scale on imported vehicles that didn't also have a kph scale.

Haha Greame, you are showing your age there buddy, my dad said the same thing regarding the stickers. Main dial doesn't need to be kms, passed safety and is registered. First thing I did when I picked it up is try and change the digital speedo....easy, now I have kms!
