I've only just purchased the car in the last 2 days, and I'm new to Land Rovers.
I had to pull the trim off both doors to get at least give everything a spray with wd40, as I didn't like having to force things. This did the trick in freeing everything up. I found the locks had solenoids attached. I don't have a remote if it ever did have one, and they don't work with the key in the door. I don't care for remote entry or central locking on this car, but the locks have to function in order to get a road worthy cert.
The passenger door is missing the key barrel. Other than that it's working as it should.
The drivers door lock is just plain weird. I have to fully turn the key and pull on the door handle to get it to unlock/open. Once it's open it's fine to open and close the door. If I push the lock down on the inside, then pull it up, I can't get out from inside.
This issue I have with the drivers door isn't some feature that would work fine with the central locking if it was working?
