Gday All,
Just curious what work light people are using/ or would change with a rear wheel carrier mounted light.
Hard wired or plug into a socket ?
Would a light that can be removed and used say for changing a flat tyre be the way to go... Am sure there must be some sort of light like that.
I haven't looked at any particular style yet, just be handy to know what others are using or would change.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers Ean

I fitted one of these to a 6" square piece of 1/2" thick dense foam ( the bolt is recessed into the foam) & chuck it on the roof or ground or table, or whatever. It has about 5m of cord with ciggy lighter attachment.
It also folds forward on to the foam &packs away when not in use. Pretty versatile & rapidly deployed. Hasn't blown off the roof in strong winds either and I don't have to worry about it being thieved. And I can take it & use it with someone else's vehicle.

G'day Ean,
Murray, (rijidig on here) sells a light stand that fits onto the rear wheel carrier,, its on my list of things to get, however, I hadn't thought about being able to use it for the likes of changing a tyre,, top idea though. I guess it would do the drivers side rear easy enough, but not really the rest. Murray will be able to offer more advice on that, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to make it happen.
One of the reasons I want his light/bracket, is the way its incorporated into the main electrical system and works as either a light, or reversing light too.
So there's one thought for you, and I'm sure others will have other thoughts/recommendations for you as well.

Gday Chops,
Rijidig build my rear carrier so might get onto him.
Time to start looking at lights and see what I can come up with.

He's got some lights to choose from too, including Light Bars, as per link.
I think he supplies lights with the carrier stand he makes, so he might have a few choices.

Hi Ean,
Some of us have used an old telescopic light pole to mount an LED light(s) on.
here is a thread showing an example
